Those are pretty hard to keep in check in the well, the solution I found is
to use the ChemFree iron filter, works like a champ, and the water it gives
you is clear and sweet instead of red, foul and smelling like rotten eggs.

I would assume that CS would be effective on iron bacteria but have not
tried it.
