CS>Shocking a well with CS

Shocking the well is good, but I thought it was bad to put the CS in to a
septic tank and field.
When I think of well I think septic tank,  if this is what you have you
could run out side faucet to clear every thing out.
I wonder how much CS it would take to kill a septic tank and field.
