Mike, I consider that if a few bacterial contaminants might replicate enough to cause symptoms in 35-40 years, decreasing the time to symptoms can be accomplished also by increasing these contaminants through a program of repeated exposure. Double the contaminants, half the time to symptoms, and 40 times the contaminants in a short program could produce symptoms in as little as a bit more than a year.
I don't think your model accounts for natural cell death of the infectious cells, or whether the immune system is working at all on it.
