I have always been using two silver electrodes for my simple CS home brew. Until I read, in preparation of my Colloidal Gold production, that indeed only the cathode needs be silver.

Had not yet foud out what the anode then should be for a clean, clear CS.
So thank you very very much,
and much obliged, if need be!

What ever happened on the socked cathode experiements that were done a
few years ago?
