Evening Dan,
The *Anode* (connected to the + terminal) needs to be silver.
The *Cathode* (connected to the - terminal) can be another metal.
No metal is removed from the Cathode, Right?
Why not use a silver wire for the Cathode? How long will it last?
3 years or 5, or maybe 10.
Does the other metals make any better CS?
I use Silver wire for both electrodes. It makes not difference
which electrode I connect the positive to.
I simply do not see the big issue and concern of NOT using silver
wire for both electrodes.
What am I missing? Does Stainless or Copper help?
Seems enough people have trouble keeping up with positive and negative anyway?
Plus, if anyone is obsessed with larger surface area, use 3, 5, or 19
pieces of silver wire.
Wayne
