Hi Chris,
It sounds like a machine I diagnosed last year for a client, with
bad RAM, but could also be some other problem on the motherboard after a
power surge. If it ran okay for a year, then you started getting problems
all of a sudden, it would seem that maybe a surge is the likeliest
possibility. If you have another mahine, install SIMS on that & see if the
problem disappears. Maybe even try running just Mac OS (no apps) If the
machine crashes, you know it's something else, not SIMS.
