I've been running SIMS 1.8b8 for awhile with no problems. Running on the
same system has been IPNetRouter to handle NAT routing for the rest of the
house (dual Ethernet cards - one for the house Ethernet, one for the DSL).

Sunday, I installed a Linksys DSL router. SIMS remained where it was. The
Linksys router was configure to make the system with SIMS the "DMZ host"
meaning all traffic from outside to well-known ports is directed to that
host.

For the most part, everything worked as expected. Except mail to two
different destinations wouldn't go out most of the time. The biggest problem
was to mediaone.net where it would never go. I set SIMS logging to "All
info" where I found that the messages were getting sent, then it appears
timing out after sending the terminating dot to close out the message.

I went back to using IPNetRouter and the messages went out promptly.

Any ideas what might be going on?
