INFO is useful when interacting with a SIP media server (IVR). 1. Opeartions like - Playing Message/Recording Messages etc can be done with INFO - few vendors use VoiceXML in the body of INFO method to send/receive relevant info (Message file location, mode to play announcement in etc).
2. INFO is used to pass dtmf digits collected.
