Well, if I remember correctly (which may not be the case) RFC 3261 did not 
include these parameters. There was a document - draft or RFC - that did which 
caused me to add support for it to Asterisk years ago - somehow a Nortel system 
was causing this, because they where using it.

I need to continue digging.
