There's enough of a consensus that it's just going to be that way. I'm sorry you disagree. You may very well be perfectly correct, but after a whole lot of discussion, the working group decided to deprecate.

In this working group, transport=tls IS deprecated. Whether or not that affects real-life remains to be seen, but I'd bet that it eventually will.

sips? cannot tls/tcp be concluded if transport is tcp and uri scheme is
sips.

I've always wondered about this one myself. What about TLS/SCTP and DTLS, which might serve as transports for SIPS?
