I see that Scott has just created XECS-1857 to allow sipXconfig to query what resources are missing.
I had thought of providing a more general "getStatusMessage" query which would return whatever info sipxsupervisor has collected (e.g. missing resources, configtest errors, possibly even output during Running phase). Does this sound reasonable? supervisor would return a list of strings which sipXconfig could then display. Also, I thought I would have to package up the configtest in an xml-rpc method so that sipXconfig could ask for it to be run. Is there an issue for that? or should I just forget about it? (it has to run in parallel with the existing state machine) Carolyn
