All,
This is the error the Cisco phone flags with firmware 8-3x and higher:
ERR 10:07:22.517069 JVM: sipSPICheckRequest: Content header value not supported
ERR 10:07:22.518008 JVM: SIPTaskProcessSIPMessage: Error: sipSPICheckRequest()
returned error.

That is when the cisco phone sends
406 "Not Acceptable" response to the INVITE.

Any ideas? Firmware 8-2-2 does not reject the call, however, we have an issue
that 8-2-2 has buggy WMI.

I agreed with your point, however, at the same time I believe a device that
uses and open standard such as SIP should work with other devices that use SIP.
Just as how Cisco switches using IEEE 802.1q VLAN trunk has to work with other
switches using IEEE 802.1q. Or how one router with RIP or OSPF have to work
with another routers with RIP or OSPF. I really wish Ulster didn't choose to
install Call Manager. Now we are locked into SMARTNET contracts for as long as
we run the system.

They don't have to... if they just test primarily with Call Manager,
then incompatibilities with other things are bound to creep in.
