Hi Akshata,

There actually is a setting to hide the New Call softkey when there is
"another way to place a call." But this is off by default, and we don't
even expose it for configuration in sipXconfig.

Sounds like this behaviour has somehow been activated in your 650. (All
your 650 and 670s, or just one?)

Double check your config files for the softkey.feature.newcall setting.
It should be in polycom_sip.cfg with a value of "1", and it should not
appear in any other of the phone's config files. If this is the case,
then raise a Polycom XTRN and assign it to me.

If you find softkey.feature.newcall="0" anywhere, then we have a
sipXconfig (Polycom plug-in) bug.

Subject: Polycom 650 : "New call" soft button issue

        Hi All,

I have a query about Polycom 650 with blind transfer feature

        Steps :
        1. Dial an extension from 650 (Polycom 650 phone)
        2. Answer the call
        3. Do a blind transfer to a busy phone (VM disabled) from 650
(Polycom 650 phone)

        Here,
When the call fails generally four soft keys will be available
with phone
        1. Resum
        2. New Call
        3. Transfer
        4. Conference

With all other phone models above soft keys are available EXCEPT
Polycom 650
        2. "New Call" soft key is not available with polycom 650.

Is there any setting to enable this softkey or this is an issue
with polycom 650 ?

        --
        Thanks,
        Akshata Saralaya
