Hi, I have made tens of tests with Linksys SPA942 IP phone and should agree that this phone has errors in the firmware. As I have understood, phone can work with BLF feature, only if the connection state is processed on network side (on SoftSwitch or IP PBX). I have configured such mode on OpenSIPS SIP proxy (www.opensips.org) and was convinced that in this case SPA942 BLF feature works (see OpenSIPS pua_dialoginfo module info for details: http://www.opensips.org/html/docs/modules/1.6.x/pua_dialoginfo.html). Developers of OpenSIPS proxy also have run into errors in the Linksys phone’s firmware and have applied some tricks that made work with phone more acceptable (see for example: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2847397&group_id=232389&atid=1086412). Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to force SPA942 to work correctly with Dialog Event subscriptions. I have stopped tests when I have found that in certain cases the behavior of phone doesn't correspond to RFC 3265 (SPA942 doesn't send NOTIFY message after SUBSCRIBE message reception). I have decided that there is no sense to continue tests before appearance of the new version of SPA942 firmware.
During tests I also checked sipXecs "Call Pickup" service. Is there anybody who has this service working with SPA9x2 and sipXecs? If I understand correctly, "Call Pickup" service also doesn't work for SPA942 phone because of errors in its work with Dialog Event subscriptions. -- Sincerely yours, Alexey Kanukhin On Tue, Sep 14, 2010 at 1:20 AM, Jean-Hugues Royer <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > I looked at your trace and I see that you have the exact same behavior > that I have with my linksys (941/942/962). > > In fact when SIP-B is enabled, the subscription is accepted, and then > you get a notification of the state of the phone.
