RFC 3261, section 4:
" For example, if Bob's SIP phone
returned a 486 (Busy Here) response, the biloxi.com proxy server
could proxy the INVITE to Bob's voicemail server. A proxy server can
also send an INVITE to a number of locations at the same time. This
type of parallel search is known as forking."

Subject: [sipx-users] Multiple phones registered to one user/extension

Hi

I'm unclear as to whether its permissible in SIP to have more than one
phone registered to a particular extension number at any one time. The
sipXconfig GUI would appear to allow it, but I haven't seen it written
anywhere that this is allowed. Are there any issues I should be aware
of when doing this?

I would be grateful if someone could clarify this for me.

Thanks,
Keith.
