Sounds like a great contribution to the open source product.
My original plan was to make a custom sipXecs ISO with such features, along with our own ACD implementation, CTI software for Win32, some extra features like Called Name support, ASR phone book, hosted TTS for IVR prompts and such.
Most of this stuff we do should be considered as hacks not to be included in the sipXecs repository - ever. We are an integrator and have no resources to create stuff that integrates on the code level with sipX. Eg we use a lot of PHP instead of extending sipXconfig. Instead of fixing the current ACD we've written a new one from scratch replacing a lot of sipX components in a way that no sipX developer will approve.
It's easier for us to contribute RPMs/SRPMs than code alone. Contributing code requires inline documentation / faqs / wikis describing how to setup the environment etc. Now that Damian showed how to create and package sipXconfig plugins I will soon start releasing our experimental stuff as add-on rpms (with source :))
But getting back to the subject.Web based stats will be bundled with our ACD rpm which is my priority (eta 1 month) . Then I can release an rpm with WEB based stats that are universal (use SOAP to get stats from both original and the new ACD). Again it's easier for me to release RPM than describe the process to get the whole PHP/SOAP/Apache running. :)
BTW: It appears that an integration with Jabber/XMPP/Openfire is in development at Nortel - maybe Queues (along with Agents) can also be represented as Jabber JIDs with proper status updates reflecting their status :)
Pawel,
