I have been using voip.ms and les.net as my ITSPs for most of my tests. I've had some issue with both providers, so I thought I'd check out Unlimitel, which has gotten pretty good reviews.
Both les.net and voip.ms worked the first time I tried them. Unfortunately I'm having problems setting up Unlimitel. I was hoping someone could help me out. After setting up Unlimitel in sipXecs, I can receive inbound calls but I cannot make outbound calls. However, I can both receive inbound calls and make outbound calls when registering from X-Lite. I took a look at the logs in the SIP Viewer and found that there is a problem registering with Unlimitel. Normally it shows the following: -> REGISTER <- 100 Trying <- 410 Unauthorized -> REGISTER <- 100 Trying <- 200 OK However, with Unlimitel it shows: -> REGISTER <- 410 Unauthorized -> REGISTER <- OPTIONS -> 406 Not acceptable <- 200 OK ... I've tried playing with the ITSP settings but nothing I've tried has made a difference. Unlimitel sent me the following details about my account (username and password have been changed): SIP USERNAME: 4169999999 SIP PASSWORD:9999999 SIP PROXY: sip.unlimitel.ca SIP REALM: unlimitel.ca This is the first time I've seen "SIP Realm" mentioned. I didn't see a corresponding field in sipXecs. I'm not sure if this is related or not. Unlimitel has configuration samples for Asterisk and Trixbox CE.
