I think you are misinterpreting the instructions. On that page you simply define your local routed subnets. Internet calling does not factor for remote worker setup except to define your internal subnets so that your system knows to accept those calls instead of rejecting them for lack of authentication via the proxy. Define your subnets (not the one your remote worker is on since it is not privately routed) and go to the next step.
