Problem: Whenever a BLF (busy lamp field) extension monitoring button on a polycom phone with a Plantronics APP-5 installed shows a monitored extension as ringing, the APP-5 will signal ringing to the plantronics headset device even though the phone doesn't ring.
The preferred behavior is that the APP-5 only sends ringing information when an actual line rings, not when a BLF monitoring button shows as ringing. This appears to be related to the 3.1 firmware's "enhanced BLF" functionality in that a ringing BLF extension places the phone into the "alerting". Has anyone else come across this issue and if so, how did you fix it?
