I think I need to ask, areyou creating a local account with a 7 digit
number? It should be created with a 3 or 4 digit number, but you run the
risk of creating a more complex dialplan when dialing local calls. The DID
should be entered as an alias for the user account.

Subject: [sipx-users] Call Forwarding to External number.

I appear to be encountering some problems with forwarding to an external
number.

This extension is setup with a DiD number so instead of your standard 3
digit extension we have the full number in there. What I'm wanting this
extension to do is forward directly to an external number but for some
reason I get the message saying this extension is unavailable and to leave a
voice mail. If I set it to forward to an internal extensions that works
correctly. I've tried adjusting the time in seconds from 1 - 30. I've tried
toggling "If no response" or "At same time" neither has an effect.

The dial plan allows for this extension to dial externally and it has no
problems doing that. From what I understand enabling the permission "Forward
Calls External" is no longer required in 4.02 because the forwarding rules
go by the dial plan settings.

Any ideas what the problem might be?
