A proper x-lite 3.0, sipx server behind NAT and NAT properly configured, with the remote user also behind a NAT properly configured to no mangle thing and with the remte user resolving public SRV SRV records would sucessfully register in sip with the contact looking like this:
<sip:[email protected]:44425 ;rinstance=cc01d5f1cd976058;transport=TCP;x-sipX-privcontact=192.168.0.121%3A29856%3Btransport%3DTCP> sipxbridge knows to contact 12.13.14.16 (the real internet public facing ip of the remote users connection, and saying that the pc running the softphone is at 192.168.0.121 connecting via TCP. I did a writeup with trunking and remote users a while back here: http://www.myitdepartment.net/support/Three_things_I_really_like_about_sipXecs_4.pdf I think once your DNS is actually working you can folow this with the difference you can leave out the trunking part 9or do it and not use the trunking so you are ready).
