I just applied updated from 4.0.1 to 4.2.0 on a copy of my production server. Everything appears to be working as expected. However, I did get some warnings and errors and wanted to make sure everything is OK.
Before applying the update, I updated my sipxecs.repo with the following: [centos-5-base] name=CentOS-5 - Base mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=5&arch=$basearch&repo=os #baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/os/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-5 #released updates [centos-5-updates] name=CentOS-5 - Updates mirrorlist= http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=5&arch=$basearch&repo=updates #baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/updates/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-5 #packages used/produced in the build but not released [centos-5-addons] name=CentOS-5 - Addons mirrorlist= http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=5&arch=$basearch&repo=addons #baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/addons/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-5 #additional packages that may be useful [centos-5-extras] name=CentOS-5 - Extras mirrorlist= http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=5&arch=$basearch&repo=extras #baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/extras/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-5 #additional packages that extend functionality of existing packages [centos-5-centosplus] name=CentOS-5 - Plus mirrorlist= http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=5&arch=$basearch&repo=centosplus #baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/centosplus/$basearch/ gpgcheck=1 enabled=0 gpgkey=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-5 [sipxecs-stable] name=SIPfoundry sipXecs pbx - latest stable version baseurl= http://sipxecs.sipfoundry.org/pub/sipXecs/LatestStable/CentOS/5/$basearch/RPM gpgcheck=0 enabled=1 I ran "yum clean all" and then "yum update -y". This usually > indicates an incorrectly defined system account. If it is a system account > please make sure its login shell is /sbin/nologin. I overwrote the following files with the rpmnew: /etc/pam.d/system-auth /etc/mail/sendmail.mc The /etc/sipxpbx/*.rpmnew files appear to have been automatically merged. I left the others as is. Should I overwrite any of the others? I'm mostly worried about the scriplet failed error message for sipxconfig-ftp-4.2.0-018575.i386 and the last message about "sipxchange homedir". Any suggestions about what I should do about these messages, if anything? Thanks, Tim
