Ping test from the SipXecs server to the phone has ttl=63 and time= (0.412
-0.479)ms over 24 pings.
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 0.395/0.444/0.632/0.052 ms
Does anyone know what the hard coded time limit is on the Notify?

Just FYI, in the course of the Job failing on the time out, the phones do not
reboot either. To get them to reboot, and load the new profile, I have to
manually cause the reboot at the phone.
I will investigate the network slow angle.

More likely it is just timing out in receiving the ack from the phone that it
is restarting. sipxconfig waits "only so long", it is not exactly patient.
sipxconfig waits until a certain period and then "writes" the that it failed.
It is the bootserver that sends the message, and bootservers have that time
period hardcoded. It usually indicates a slow network link. If it is
responding, rebooting, and picking up the profile, there is nothing broken in
sipx, just the network link the phone is on is slow. It might help if the
phones are on a vlan with qos/precedence.

depends on phone. but last i knew for polycom it was an unauthorized
SIP NOTIFY. Phone checks to see if profile actually changed before
reloading to avoid getting tricked.
What could fail? phone isn't registered or not reachable but i will
say i see failures for phones that i wouldn't think shouldn't fail.
