start from scratch in your description since you have changed, several
times what your problem is, and it has been a couple weeks since you
described it.
Did you tell us who the the ITSP was? are you using sipx 4.2.0 or 4.2.1?
Since caller id transformations work in sipx, then it is either
something you have set up or something your ITSP is doing.
And, as has been suggested, don't even talk about caller id name, since
you cannot set the name in the global CNAM database.
Lets just talk numbers.
go into more detail as to what isn't working, and why you think its not
working, and if you are trying to set a 'default' caller id on the trunk
and have he extensions override it with transformations, that won't
work. certain combination's of caller id override don' work. Don' t
try to be too fancy.
Try this:
in gateway, set default caller id. restart any services it asks you to
start, count 2 mins to be sure.
make a call to an outside, NON SIP line. did you get the number you
want? If not, its the ITSP.
If that works, REMOVE THE DEFAULT. ITS NOT A DEFAULT, ITS AN OVERRIDE.
set transform on trunk: YOU CAN'T OVERRIDE IT WITH NUMBERS ON THE USERS
blank default, unchecked block caller id, unchecked ignore user caller
id. check transform extension
enter caller id prefix (for us, its 5619482) our DID's are 561-948-2xxx
enter digits keep (for us its 3), our extensions are 1xxx
user 1234 does NOT HAVE caller id set in users page. THIS WONT WORK,
PICK ONE, TRANSFORM, OR FIXED CALLER ID for your company.
user 1234 dials out. we keep three digits (234), and with caller id
prefix, the outbound number is 5619482 + 234.
works fine if your ITSP don't muck things up, like many try to do.
many ITSP's will try to use the ACCOUNT NAME or number, or PAD to set
your outbound caller id. or, some don't even let you set it.
