Just thought I'd throw this out there...

We have a Patton 4960 gateway that has a public IP address (WAN port) that uses
IP based registration to connect to voip.ms (in the routing table - we only
allow traffic on the WAN port to/from the ip address of the voip.ms server we
are registering to). We are doing this so our legacy NEC system can route long
distance calls via voip.ms for the cheaper long distance.

You could point sipXecs to route calls to the Patton and let the Patton send
the calls to voip.ms (and vice versa). It's an expensive option if you don't
already have a PRI gateway that can register a SIP trunk - but it would allow
you to keep your traffic on 5060 and keep sipXecs out of the mix. Plus you
still have the option of letting remote workers into sipXecs.

I'm sure it offers no consolation, but we have several customers (including our

5080.
and you are using IP BASED REGISTRATION? not user/password?

when you look at their diagnostics it shows port 5060,?
because if I use user/password registration, we go out FROM port 5080, and
voip.ms responds back on port 5080.
