no, actually a known problem. see my testing from feb,march of last year.
you can' t use cisco phones for remote. despite all the gratuitous
offers to tell me how to set them up, not one person was able to get it
to work (no, its not a firewall problem). its how sipx handles cisco
phones.
and, no you can't fix it, not without a sbc to handle the cisco phones.
ps, I have 48 cisco 7960 phones for sale, cheap.
