Voice Operator Panel will do exactly this. It will even open up a directory of users within that called number. Say you have 5 companies. You have a director of 20 users in each company. When call comes in for Company 1111, directory of 20 phones for Company 1111 will be shown.
It will allow you to function as a multi-tenant console. I currently have one receptionist answering for three companies this way - has worked perfect for them for almost two years. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Anthony George Sent: Thursday, June 30, 2011 1:43 PM To: Discussion list for users of sipXecs software Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Polycom, sipxecs 4.4 and called id with hunt groups Is there any way around it, or is there a better way of discriminating between calls coming in via hunt group/queue, etc? Here's a better example of what we're trying to do - we have a single receptionist serving as a call taker for multiple companies, but will need to know the company that is calling. Mostly they would be calls coming in from PSTN/itsp, but it would be nice to have one or more "hunt groups" that may contain some of the same users, that they are able to distinguish the purpose/group for calls coming to them as well.
