Yes, that's exactly what I did. I have two gateways connected to sipXecs. One is an AudioCodes and it is on the same subnet. I now understand that I should not expect this feature to work with calls that come through that gateway based on Jeff Ferrara's comment.
The other gateway is a SIP trunk to voip.ms. Should I expect it to work with that? One thing I just thought about . . . if all of the calls from the SIP trunk go to a hunt group or auto attendant, once those calls are transferred to another extension, they are no longer "external" calls, correct?
