Hello,

I am trying to route calls from one gateway to another one, both connected to
sipX.

I have tried a lot of combination, 2 sip trunks, 2 unmanaged gateways, 1T and
1unmanagedGW an so.

I have studied the "DNS" point of view and i am sure that sipX can resolve
pertinent DNS records for each gateway other's domain. ("A" records in the
local /var/named/*.zone files, nslookup and ping on domain's name and on
proxies URI"s are OK.

I have tried a lot of dial plans, site to site (with domain name instead of
proxies name), custom dial plan, etc...

The issue is always the same, the response to external incoming invite is "407
Authentication required", it is not possible to have authentication here,
because the From: URI is unknown in the sipX, and the To: URI is
sip:[email protected] where number is not a known user in the registrar DB.

I can make this working by "indirect" route, via a call forward from a phantom
user (in this case, number is an alias of this user).. but it is not that i
want.

2 Questions :

1) What is the way to debug the dial plan processing ?? There is informations
in sipXproxy.log, sipregistrar.log, sipxbridge.log, sipxrelay.log but it is
difficult to know if the routing process is considering dial plan or not.

My sensation is that external incoming call (from ITSP or Gateway) is not
possible to route to another thing but local user.

2) What is your advice to obtain an external to external routing ?? I know that
it is not the first job to obtain from sipX, but i am searching to not install
another SIP Proxy.

Best Regards.
