Susanne, I don't see any strangeness in both your autoinstallscript.conf and your master script. The next step is the mount of proc filesystem. Are you able to see a message like the following? mkdir -p /a/proc || shellout mount proc /a/proc -t proc -o defaults || shellout Moreover I assume that with "hang" you do not mean that the autoinstall script exits with shellout, but no more messages than the ext3 stuff are printed on the console... Another point: are you using the standard BOEL kernel or UYOK (see documentation here: http://wiki.systemimager.org/index.php/UYOK)?
