Hi Andrea, I don't get a message telling me that /proc has been mounted. When I say "hangs" I mean that the last message is all I get, no shell, no error messages, it just won't progress beyond this point.
Right now I am using the standard kernel and I figured since /sda is mounted I might not need my own kernel with added modules but perhaps I am wrong. I'll take a look at the UYOK option. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks, Susanne >>> Andrea Righi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 10/4/2006 11:30 AM >>> Susanne Hemker wrote: > Found it, thanks for checking it out. > > Susanne Susanne, I don't see any strangeness in both your autoinstallscript.conf and your master script. As you said the installation hangs here: > EXT3-fs on sda3 internal journal > EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode /dev/sda3 is /var/tmp in your case, but if you're able to see the previous messages it means that the sda3 partition has been correctly mounted. The next step is the mount of proc filesystem. Are you able to see a message like the following? mkdir -p /a/proc || shellout mount proc /a/proc -t proc -o defaults || shellout Moreover I assume that with "hang" you do not mean that the autoinstall script exits with shellout, but no more messages than the ext3 stuff are printed on the console... Another point: are you using the standard BOEL kernel or UYOK (see documentation here: http://wiki.systemimager.org/index.php/UYOK)?
