That's correct. Note that "when" part of the description. The only  
difference that hidden pref does is give you a default choice for the  
dialog.

Be aware that the .skim file is only introduced as a backup facility,  
it is never meant as a primary storage for the notes. A car file is a  
far too fragile association. It will never be used to override the  
direct association offered by the EAs.
