That's strange, I've got no problems with that. You have Emacs running  
when you try this, right? Could there be anything special with the  
file, such as special characters (spaces), symlinks, or aliases  
anywhere in the path? (Though those should not give problems.) Also,  
have you tried calling the emacsclient script from the command line to  
see if that at least works? Have you asked on the Aquamacs Emacs list?
