Okay, then I have misinterpreted the concept of the split PDF and  
snapshot feature. Thanks for clarifying, and excuse me if similar  
questions have been answered before. I did a search in the mailing  
list archive for split PDF and snapshot but couldn't find anything  
related (except one unanswered question dating back to 2007).
