Huh? So what did you do with Acrobat, did you save or anything? What
actually changed to the file?
No. As far as I know my Acrobat is a Reader only.
I tried to reproduce this effect and didn't succeed at first. That
means, the new SKIM did open pdf's correctly.
Up till a certain time (or whatever): now SKIm gives me that gray page
again. Even with pdf's which I opened correctly with SKIM a minute ago.
Launch Console.app (in /Applications/Utilities), select the Console
Messages in the LHS pane and look for messages from Skim.
In my Console messages I don't see anything remotely like "LHS". But
in the "system.log" There is this (I guess the time is not Greenwich
time) concerning SKIM (I just copy the end of this log)

No, it only works OK for every dataset after that very dataset has
been once opened by Acrobat Reader.

I'm not acquainted with that,

Did 1.3.6 work OK? Did the PDF have any notes attached?
