LHS = Left Hand Side (standard acronym)

This points to some problem. I've seen It's really a (long time) system bug in 
that was (finally) fixed in Snow Leopard. I hoped a workaround I added in the 
latest release would fix this, but the system bug seems to be even more serious 
than I thought. Though I am not sure what exactly triggers it in Skim, and I 
don't have a machine running Leopard anymore to debug.
