Many thanks for CdC and for your personal reply to my query! Another user pointed me to the same help message, which caused me to change the interval timeout in the port configuration. Once I got that set up, CdC communicated well tonight. My vertical initialization worked, as did my two star alignment. I set up telescope tracking, and followed the CdC sky charts to M92, M56, M13, and M57. In the 15 degree view, the target objects were in the scope fov with a 14 mm eyepiece when they were centered on the CDC sky chart. It's very nice to have a moving sky map for whatever area of the sky my scope is pointed to. Now when I'm in an area and see a nearby object of interest, I click on it with my computer mouse, learn about it, and guide my scope to it if it's interesting.
