There has to be some mechanism to limit the numbers of labels displayed for each FOV. Having a tab for each FOV and each type of object label would be a daunting task to implement and also for the user to maintain. That is most likely why the offset was used. In V3 he call it "Magnitude Difference", this is a little more self- explanatory. A lot of other planetarium programs do not let you adjust this at all and you are stuck with factory default for labels. My version of The Sky only allows turning them on or off. Bob
