After merging skype with WLM did you sort contacts by name versus online status? All my messenger contacts appeared when I did this.

Hi claire, can you access the options of the other program? And try changing

Subject: [Skypeenglish] Anyone lost Messenger after merging it with Skype?

Hi!
I have a strange problem with Messenger after merging it with Skype, and I
wonder if anyone else has had the same problem or can suggest a solution.
I merged my Messenger and Skype a couple of weeks ago, and until the end of
last week it worked fine, in fact I remember successfully sending an MSN
message through Skype last Thursday.
However, for a few days now, I have received nothing from my Messenger
contacts while Skype is running. I was told yesterday, by two friends who
are both on my Skype and Messenger contact lists, that I've showed up as
offline on Messenger for a little while now, except when I sign into it with
Miranda.
I only use Miranda now when I want to use Messenger but don't want to use
Skype, but I don't think alternating between two Messenger clients should be
a problem, as I did that successfully till the end of last week. I also know
that at one point I accidentally changed my Skype status to offline when I
meant to change to online, but, when I came back online on Skype, Messenger
should have done the same thing rather than staying offline. I currently
can't run Messenger and Skype at the same time: even if I sign into Skype on
its own, that kills Messenger in Miranda, so there is obviously a conflict
between the two clients.
I've tried signing out of Skype then signing back in with my Microsoft
account, but that hasn't made any difference. Skype itself still works fine,
but Messenger seems to be dead from within Skype.
I probably need to write to Skype Support about this, but before I do so,
can anyone think of anything else I should try?
Thanks in advance for your replies to this.
Bye for now!
