Hi! I have already sent a support request to ask for the merge of my Skype and Messenger to be cancelled. I decided this was a good idea, partly because it's no use having Messenger merged with Skype if Messenger won't work there, partly because, as we all know, there are problems with this new feature, such as online status not being readable by screenreader users and the fact that adding a Messenger contact through Skype seems to be impossible, at least I've never found a way of doing it. I may try the merge again when things have improved, or perhaps I'll be forced to do the merge again anyway when Windows Live Messenger dies next year, especially if that also kills third party clients such as Miranda which I use. As I write this, I am waiting for a reply from Skype Support: they sent me an automatic message yesterday to say that they would answer my support request within 24 hours. I will keep you all posted as to what actually happens, even if it's just a simple cancellation of my merging of Messenger and Skype. Bye for now! >From Clare
