When you say hide the window do you mean you want it on the system tray, but not in the alt tab order, or on the task bar. If that is what you want to do do the following. Activate the skype window. Now open the tools menu buy pressing alt+t. now open the option dialog buy pressing o. Now arrow to advanced settings. Now tab to the check box that read Keep Skype in the taskbar while I'm signed in. uncheck this check box. Now tab to the save button. Press the save button with the space bar. Now when you want to remove the skype window from the task bar just close it with alt+f4. Skype will still be accessible from the system tray, and all skype hot keys will work. Hth
