Since I use it and have already planned on doing some patches I can coordinate with Ingo so together we can "take care" of the command line client, ok?

For sure I will take care of bug reports and small feature requests. But as I said, I am not using the command line client myself, so my interest to push it's development is relatively rare.

This was my initial fear. Having parts in Slide that no one knows about any more can harm Slide's reputation. I think this was one of Slide's main problems before: People posting to the list about problems with the 1.0.x no one maintains ony more. I'd say if we release something with Slide 2.0 there must be someone who takes care of it. Ingo, will you?

After having had just a rough look at it, I would say it is still correct. Note that this part of the client has not undergone any changes for ages.

I am currently going through the docs and found an awful lot of outdated stuff. Is the command line client doc at
http://jakarta.apache.org/slide/webdav-client.html
still valid?

As there were some postings recently that showed some peoples interest
in the command line client, I would not consider dropping it. Although
there is a better competitor named cadaver, I think it's not too bad.

I think Ingo is the one to talk to on this matter. I was just wondering if the commandline client is *really* useful and matches the quality of the client library or the rest of Slide. If not I would propose to drop it as well.
