Oh I thinkit (command line client) is *really* usefull and needed for the following reasons.

1. Someone getting started needs to have something they can use to see how to implement on the client libraries.
2. How else will someone starting from a release going to manage a Slide repository? We certainly don't want to tell someone they need to "write a client implementation" or "use cadaver".
3. Too many other places, in other projects, refer people to Slide for a "working WebDAV Client".
4. It is handy to use to test custom stores.

While I agree it doesn't fully expose the client library, I think that is easy enough to do and I am going to provide a patch or two to help with that.

I think Ingo is the one to talk to on this matter. I was just wondering if the commandline client is *really* useful and matches the quality of the client library or the rest of Slide. If not I would propose to drop it as well.

I do not use the commandline client so I dont know. But in the last days there have been some mails on the lists from people who use this client. What do they say?
