IMHO this is a beta so it should go in the milestone builds section on binindex and sourceindex.
I agree it should go into the milestone builds section. That's way I proposed to upload the release to the this location:
6.) Upload these distributions into cvs.apache.org/dist/jakarta/slide/2.0-beta3
a news item should go into the jakarta product news. if you don't want to do this, then me or tetsuya will pick up most announcements and post up an item about them.
That would be nice :) We are waiting for a patch for the client and then we can release. I think you will notice when it is time...
