Hi,
Has anyone on this list had any success with diald to
get dynamic dial services on linux? I have a customer
that I convinced to go linux as a mailserver / internet
hub. The problem is that they do not want to go
to a permanent link and want dynamic dial service.
I installed diald and everything went OK, or so I
thought. The machine would not stay up for long
periods,
and would dial frequently. I made some changes and then
it decided it would stay up indefinately. I made
another
change and it would not go up at all. Again another
change and it all works fine for up to 3 days and then
no good at all, reboot and all is well for 3 more days.
I need to solve this problem asap as they are not
talking about going back to the evil empires solution.
I
beleive I can work it out myself given the time but I
dont have enough.
Can anyone give me clues / configs/ alternatives to
diald ?
