Losing mouse balls is one thing, and we lost the lot one night so we had to
glue them down, but at UTS someone with very small and nimble hands used to get
into the spare 5.25" diskdrive cover, and take all of the simms out. 

We fixed all of those problems when we installed security cameras.

There is a pice of hardware which will make a standard IDE hard disk, or
partition read only, but I can't remember what it was. I could email the
sysadmin for the elec eng undergrad PC labs, he might know
