I think it's an SMC, but since I was on the trial I supplied my
own. There's definetly a linux driver for it though since I know of
people that have gotten it going.

Pretty much just ppp and networking support for the card but you
probably already have that. Since you're running 2.4 if you're really
keen you could try playing with the kernel pppoe support but haven't
tried that yet.

The guys that did mine weren't hostile but I'd just let them do
there thing in windows and do linux when they go. Unless the guy
actually knows somethign about linux. I heard a rumor of one cable
installer saying something to the affect of " You've got linux, cool
lets get it going under that instead" :)

pppoe
apt-get install pppoe
read one file in /usr/doc that tells you what to edit.

dynamic and it's very dynamic, will be different every time you
