I only used alsa because the default would't work. Now Alsa is all gone,
I'm using the same chipset as you, but on a DELL CPx.
I put in the line you've suggest and run the command. This has got me
back to square one:
obair /etc/modutils# modprobe maestro
/lib/modules/2.2.17/misc/maestro.o: init_module: Device or resource
busy
Hint: this error can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.2.17/misc/maestro.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.2.17/misc/maestro.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.17/misc/maestro.o: insmod maestro failed
obair /etc/modutils#
Right back where I started. I'm going a bit spare chasing my tail, this
is normally such a simple operation.......
Modconf still notnbeing any use (nor the DELL website, google is bare).
Any ideas?
