Hi Tom.
It's not really whether they are Linux-friendly or not. Most (if not all) ISPs support
PAP and/or CHAP so you can should be able to connect from Linux.
Maybe Netscape doesn't support PAP and support only CHAP? In that case you might
need a login script. Have you got a utility called "pppsetup" on your
system?
I just noticed you wrote that you're not looking for troubleshooting
tips, but since it's not a case of whether they are Linux-friendly or
not I figured I would try and help you solve your problem.
