It's good to provide new users with accurate information, as advice or
recommendation so that they can make their choice based on your insight.
Choosing an RPM-based distribution does not result in being "stuffed from
the start", so the crux of your advice does not seem to be entirely useful.
Perhaps outlining some of the issues that users may come across when using
an RPM-based system in a constructive way would be more beneficial? James'
post mentioned a number of techniques - very helpful for new users indeed.
